Microbiome Data Analysis Training Workshop

OMBI will host a hands-on training workshop in the analysis of microbiome data on May 11, 2017 at Oregon State University.

What will I learn?

This workshop will teach participants how to collect, generate, and analyze microbiome data. This will include discussion of the theory and methodology associated with microbiome sample collection and processing, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis. It will also include hands-on training in the bioinformatic analysis of microbiome data using command line programs. This workshop will place strong emphasis on 16S sequence data and analysis.

Who can participate?

There are no restrictions placed on attendance, except that all participants must have their own laptop computer, have an ssh client installed, have an OSU account, and have access to the OSU wireless infrastructure.

When and where will it take place?

The training workshop will take place on May 11, 2017 at the Alumni Center at Oregon State University. Additional details are forthcoming.

This workshop will host 60 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will open shortly.
